Adding your ceremony, reception and other events

Many couples marry in a church and celebrate somewhere else, so the ceremony and reception each have their own venue, address and time.

1. In the editor, open the Ceremony & Reception section.
2. Add the ceremony venue, address and start time. For a Catholic wedding, a short note that the ceremony is a Nuptial Mass helps guests know how long to allow.
3. Add the reception venue, address and start time.
4. Optionally, add a note for the time in between, for example “Light refreshments in the parish hall” or “Photos at the church; the reception opens at 5 p.m.”

More events

Under Events you can add a Rehearsal Dinner, Welcome Party or Farewell Brunch from presets, or create your own. Guests can RSVP to each event separately.

On Premium, you can make an event private so only the households you invite can see it, which suits a rehearsal dinner for the wedding party and family.

If your reception is alcohol-free, you can switch on a short dry-wedding line so guests know what to expect.
